Assemblies of God Marriage Encounter is a ministry solely dedicated
to couples and marriage.
Since 1981 we have offered a new way for couples to have an enriched
marriage. We are advocates for couples and their homes.
We offer Engaged Encounter for those couples who are seriously
deciding on marriage. We serve them with marriage education and
materials.
Marriage Encounter is the strongest and longest running of our
endeavors. Geared toward married couples who want more than the
usual mundane tired relationship, AGME offers a great weekend away
where couples learn concepts, practice communication techniques, and
find a new closeness.
Couples on the rocks, experiencing recovery from addictions,
recoiling from adultery and severe marital hardships are directed to
MarriageRestored. Many find healing and hope.
Assemblies of God Marriage Encounter finances these activities
through donations. Each couple pays a modest registration fee.
Marriage Encounter pays for their hotel and meals. At the end of the
program every couple is given the opportunity to make an anonymous
donation “to help another couple go to a Marriage Encounter weekend.”
Assemblies of God Marriage Encounter receives no government funding
or corporate grants. The Assemblies of God does not support us
financially. We must rely on the generosity of others to maintain
this ministry to marriage and provide skill building resources for
today and hope for tomorrow.
